The development of the industrial revolution 4.0 allows each individual to improve the quality and optimisation of brain function. Education in vocational schools should be more innovative and creative, in responding to the challenges and opportunities of the implications of the industrial revolution 4.0. To solve this problem is having a model approach to a teaching factory. There are three teaching factory models, namely: the first model of schools to build mini replicas of industries that establish cooperation, so that students can learn to assemble and produce goods for industries that work together; the second model is the school building a teaching factory along with industry partners and teaching factories located inside and outside the school; and, the third model, the teaching factory, takes the form of a special collaboration class between industry partners and Vocational Schools so that students practice skills in two places, namely in laboratories in schools and in factories owned by industrial partners. Industrial assistance in the teaching factory will have an impact on participants through learning experiences in real conditions so that they can help improve the quality of vocational education. Pages 22 to 28

The social problem that is in the spotlight for experts in vocational education at this time is the large number of unemployed people who come from graduates of vocational education (SMK) in Indonesia. The challenges faced by Indonesia are also increasing, namely with the increasing demands of companies or industries on the quality of human resources. The job market requires multi-skilled graduates forged by the education system. Therefore, quality improvement is needed, both in terms of education, skills, and the ability to compete in the job market. Following up on this phenomenon, a real government effort is needed to overcome unemployment, namely through a work-based approach through life-based learning. The work-based approach through life-based learning in education has a positive impact on students in improving achievement, motivation, and ultimately has an impact on reducing the unemployment rate. Geographically, Indonesia has an area stretching from upland to coastal. With these conditions, Indonesia has various potentials with each region having its own peculiarities. The government's attention to local potency has actually been shown in education. With the existence of regional autonomy, each region must be able to prepare vocational schools based on local potential with a number and areas of expertise that are in accordance with their respective regions. Therefore, local government is one of the important elements that can realise the compatibility between vocational high schools (VHS). So, this research will find out what VHS majors are expected by the local government, especially the sub-district government to manage local potential. This research uses a descriptive  qualitative approach. The results show there are different competency requirements to manage local potential with different geographical conditions. The difference is clearly seen, dominant local potential in the highland is agriculture and the dominant potential in coastal areas is fisheries. Under these conditions, the goverment needs VHS graduates to manage local potentials of their areas. Major requirements in the highlands are technology and enginering, information and communication technology, health and social worke  rs, agribusiness and agrotechnology, business and management, tourism, art and creative industries. Majors required on the coast are technology and engineering, information and communication technology, health and social workers, agribisness and agrotechnology, maritime affairs, business and management, tourism, arts and creative industries. Solar cells are being widely developed in various applications such as power plants, street lighting, battery replacements on portable devices, and so on. But its use in daily life in Indonesia is still minimal. This is because public understanding about solar cells, in general, is still lacking. Therefore, there needs to be an effort to educate the public about solar cells so that this technology can be used as part of students’ learning from an early age so that the future generations can properly utilise solar cells; so that they are also inspired to develop them with more innovation. But learning about solar cells in schools is still very rarely done because of various factors including lack of learning devices about solar cells that are systematic and appropriate to the level of development of students, teacher competencies that have not received sufficient stock about solar cells, and most of the literature is in foreign languages. Therefore, it is necessary for learning tools that make it easier for teachers to teach the students. In this paper, we proposed an Edukit 4.0 as a learning tool for the junior high school level that is easy to understand, interesting, and a measurable evaluation system. The EduKits 4.0 is equipped with smartphone apps to provide visual interface for experiments and learning in the education 4.0 environment. The obtained results show the positive gain in learning experiences for students. Pages 387 to 397

This research was aimed at investigating the innovation effect of processing bitter melon fruit culinary on the change of glucose level of diabetic rats. Hyperglycaemia of the rats’ condition was done with induced Streptozotocin (STZ) using the change of glucose level test for a 4-week experiment. Another test that was done was a glucose response test and a short-chain fatty acid test (SCFAs). The 30 rats were divided into 5 experimental groups: group 1 belonged to normal rats and this was the control group; group II was rats with hyperglycaemia; groups III, IV and V were hyperglycaemic rats with a diet of boiling bitter melon, steaming bitter melon and sautéing bitter melon. The research findings showed that giving a diet of bitter melon with boiling treatment, steaming and sautéing, caused a significant (p<0.05) change in the rats’ glucose level, SCFAs profile and inhibition of glucose absorption. Creativity in bitter melon culinary processing produced sautéed bitter melon that inhibited glucose absorption greater than steamed and boiled bitter melon. SCFAs profile produced were acetic acid > propionate acid > butyrate acid. This fact can prevent coronary heart disease. Pages 398 to 414
